The 50-mile intermediate route continues from Victoria and guides riders to the ornately Gothic, sculpted Holy Cross Shrine in Pfeifer. This architectural gem offers not only stunning craftsmanship to admire, but also an unforgettable acoustic experience.

Inside the shrine, enjoy a performance by violinist Rigo Murillo and friends whose music fills the space with remarkable clarity and beauty.  Take time to marvel at the intricate carved details that make this church truly one of a kind.

Restrooms are available in the school next to the church. Pfeifer native Deb Hoffman, offers tours while friendly locals Patty and Janice host SAG support, adding a warm, small-town welcome.

The route features mostly flat terrain, with one short (1/2 mile) incline at 3.7% grade.  After your visit, the route returns to Hays completing a memorable and scenic ride.

The $50 registration fee includes the post-ride German meal with live music, a commemorative T-shirt and a swag bag.
